The FilmLight Colour Awards, now in its third year, celebrates the art of colour across the world and aims to reflect the cultural, visual and technical values of the international colour grading community of today. It aspires to encourage the growth of the colourist’s prestige at all levels – from junior colourists to industry veterans – and to recognise the value they bring to the film industry.

This year, Thomas Eberschveiler, Image Workflow Supervisor at MPC Paris, is one of the FilmLight Colour Awards 2023 judges!

He collaborates on the colour and image processing pipeline for the DI and VFX department. His passion for the pursuit of naturalistic rendering of colours and textures led him to cultivate technical- creative communities and to hold a diverse range of positions in Europe and North America.

Thomas focuses on optimizing the grade and metadata exchange between the set, dailies, editing, VFX and DI phases, as well as ensuring a consistent image appearance throughout each step of the process.
