Synopsis
A small village of Northern France is the battleground of undercover extraterrestrial knights.
With Hugues Namur as VFX Supervisor and Loriane Lucas as VFX Producer, the MPC Paris teams drew up 210 VFX plans including fleets of starships and space monuments, intergalactic blurbs and spacescapes. Creating the visual effects for “L’Empire” required an investment of six months of uninterrupted work.
The work of the MPC Paris teams included modeling, texturing, and animating fleets of ships and space monuments using Maya. Fluid and particle simulations, as well as matte paintings, were used to depict intergalactic blurbs and space landscapes. The process, from pre-production to post-production, required meticulous coordination and unfailing creativity to overcome technical challenges and bring the director’s vision to life.
